Lotto Event Suggestion.

I have no idea wether someone has already suggested this or not, since it would be a right bother to go through every thread trying to look for something then finding out it's not there, so please don't be offended if you have already suggested this.

A script generates random numbers every hour. five minutes before it generates them, players will have the ability to type a command to guess 4 numbers, for example "@lottery 4 2 1 3" and that will be the numbers, if the players numbers are the same as the numbers the script generates, the player recieves a prize. This is easily scripted and maintains the balance of events throughout gameplay, since it needs no moderators or anyone special to be online for it to occur.

Hmm, I guess it would work, what are your ideas for prizes?

The script can easily make sure that the players only submit their numbers once. And as for the prize, you lot get to chose it, and it's hard to win, all 4 numbers HAVE TO match, although it doesn't have to be in a designated order.

Are you meaning they can only use the command once and it won't allow them to do it again, or just their first submission would work? Because the spam from that command itself would probably cause lag, since people would spam it away. But that sounds like a decent idea as long as it's worked right.

Commands can't cause lagg to other players, the script only sends information from the player to the database, it doesn't send it to everyone, like when monsters are spawned or items are dropped. Big difference.

yea if its a four didget number there guna spam 9999 numbers in 5 minutes yeah......

Lol, I would spam the most random numbers. Mostly 1337 though.
