okay guys or photoshop/animations pros.

i need out on making an animated gif.

lets say i see this short clip on a video, how do i cut that portion out and make it to a gif?

not sure on how to do it, havent tried it yet
but i think you download the vid, use a program to make it gif, and then open it in animation shop

again, havent tried it, so im not sure,
theres prolly tuts on youtube

With version of PhotoShop do you have?
Anyway, mine is [File>Import>Video frames to Layers...].

I checked and it's the same on CS4 so I presume it's the same on CS3

uh 1 problem. when i do that, nothing appears except white/blank screen.

Hmm... thats odd, I can't help you there sorry.
I haven't made animations since 3 years ago.

cause does adobe photoshop supports those XviD formats etc.? or just plain ones
